Private trips are exclusive, tailor-made travel experiences designed just for you and your group. Unlike standard group tours, private trips allow you to customize your itinerary, choose your preferred activities, accommodations, and pace of the journey. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a family vacation, or embarking on a personalized adventure, private trips offer a more intimate, flexible, and luxurious experience. Absolutely! We can add any additional activities to your private trip for an extra charge. Whether it’s an exclusive tour, a unique experience, or special services, we’ll make it happen. We’ll help you customize your trip to make it even more unforgettable!

Selected meals are included in some of our private trip packages. To learn more about which meals are included in your specific itinerary, please contact your dedicated trip planner at info@jovacations.com. We’ll ensure your culinary experience is tailored to your preferences!

International flights are not included in our private trip packages. This gives you the flexibility to choose your preferred airline, schedule, and seating preferences. However, our Travel Experts are happy to assist you with the correct airport codes and any other travel-related information to make your journey as smooth as possible. In some destinations though, the domestic flights are included in the package!

Yes, you can request a specific guide for your private trip, subject to availability. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences and provide you with the guide who best fits your needs.

During your trip, you’ll have direct access to your travel expert and dedicated destination partner, who will be available to assist with any questions or concerns. Additionally, we’ll add you to a WhatsApp group where our customer support team will be ready to assist you at any time.

1. Why do I need to be flexible on my trip?

Travel is all about adventure, and with that comes a little bit of flexibility! While we always aim to keep everything running smoothly, some things (like weather, flight delays, or even a surprise local event) may require us to adjust your itinerary along the way. But don’t worry – we’ve got your back!

Life happens! A few things that might come up include:

  • Weather changes or unexpected delays.
  • Flight cancellations or schedule changes.
  • Local events or strikes that may affect your plans.
  • Unforeseen disruptions, like sickness or mechanical issues.

We’ll always keep you in the loop! If there’s a sudden change, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. We’re here to make sure your experience stays as smooth as possible, even if the unexpected happens.

No need to stress – sometimes the best moments come from the unexpected! While we do our best to stick to the plan, if we need to make any changes, we’ll ensure they’re for your comfort and enjoyment.

As much as we’d love to promise that everything stays exactly as planned, we can’t always predict the future. Since changes can’t always be avoided, refunds aren’t offered for schedule adjustments. But rest assured, we’re committed to making sure your trip is still unforgettable!

Sometimes, a change in plans leads to amazing new experiences! We’ve got you covered every step of the way, and we’re always here to make your trip just as incredible as you imagined!

1. Do I need to arrange my travel documents?

Yes! You’re in charge of your passport, visas, permits, and any required certificates. Think of it as your golden ticket to adventure! 

Missing or invalid documents might mean denied entry or exit. Plan ahead to avoid disruptions!

We don’t process visas but can guide you on the basics and what you’ll need for your destination.

  • Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after the date that your trip ends.
  • Check visa and permit requirements early.
  • Double-check everything before you pack!

Keep your documents ready well in advance and reconfirm everything with your travel agent or the ticket issuer before your trip. Adventure awaits!

1. What happens if I miss or don’t use part of my trip?

We’re sorry to hear that! However, at Jo Vacations does not offer refunds or discounts for any missed or unused services. This includes instances where:

  • The missed service is due to the Client’s own actions, such as arriving late or leaving early.
  • The Client’s participation is terminated because of negligence, breach of terms, or other avoidable circumstances.

Our packages and experiences are carefully pre-arranged with our vendors and providers. Once confirmed, the costs are non-refundable on our end, regardless of whether the services are utilized.

Depending on availability and circumstances, we’ll do our best to help, but rescheduling isn’t guaranteed. Additional fees may apply.

If you missed a service for reasons beyond your control, such as a delayed flight or unexpected circumstances, please reach out to us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to check the possibilities for rescheduling:

  • Flight Delayed? We can arrange a later pickup, depending on availability.
  • Change of Plans? If you wish to start a tour earlier or later, we need to be informed at least a day in advance.
  • Leaving Early? Let us know in advance so we can assess any adjustments.

However, last-minute changes may not always be accommodated, and some alterations could result in missed experiences where tickets or reservations have already been booked.

To make the most of your trip, we recommend:

  • Arriving on time for all scheduled activities.
  • Familiarizing yourself with your itinerary.
  • Keeping communication open with our team in case of changes.

Staying in touch and updating us on changes ensures a smoother trip!

1. Can the itinerary or trip details change?

Yes! While we meticulously plan each itinerary, changes may occur due to weather, local conditions, or other unforeseen factors. Think of it as a little extra adventure sprinkled in!

Adjustments could include:

  • Changes to activities, timings, or services.
  • Alterations to accommodations or hosts.
  • Modifications to the itinerary based on safety, local input, or weather.

No refunds are provided for itinerary adjustments or modifications, as these changes are made with your best interest in mind.

Specific destinations or activities are subject to availability and conditions at the time. We do our best to stick to the plan, but flexibility is part of the journey!

By joining, you accept responsibility for participating in activities with inherent risks. We ensure safety is a priority, but a sense of adventure is key!

1. Do I need travel insurance for my trip?

Absolutely! We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking to cover the entire duration of your trip.

Make sure your policy includes coverage for:

  • Trip cancellation or curtailment.
  • Illness, injury, or death.
  • Lost or damaged baggage and personal items.
  • Specific activities included in your trip (e.g., winter sports coverage for a ski trip).

It’s your responsibility to arrange and ensure adequate travel insurance that suits your trip.

Without insurance, you’ll be solely responsible for any losses or costs, such as medical expenses, cancellations, or lost belongings.

Protect your adventure! Travel insurance gives you peace of mind so you can enjoy every moment of your trip worry-free.

1. Can I get a refund if I cancel my trip?

We understand plans can change, but please note that:

  • Deposits, late fees, full payments, and installment payments are non-refundable.
  • The only exception is if the entire trip is canceled by Jo Vacations, in which case we will notify all participants via email with refund instructions.

If we have to cancel the trip entirely, you’ll receive an email notification with detailed instructions on how to claim your refund.

Life happens, and we get it! That’s why we strongly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance. It’s your safety net to recover costs like non-refundable flights, accommodations, or other expenses in case you need to cancel.

Unfortunately, no. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses or losses such as:

  • Non-refundable flights, rail, or car parking fees.
  • Visa or vaccination costs.
  • Loss of earnings or enjoyment.

We recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that covers trip cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events. Please check the laws in your country to ensure the policy suits your needs.

Planning your dream trip involves a lot of behind-the-scenes magic, and your deposit helps secure everything for your experience. It’s a commitment to making your vacation extraordinary!

1. Can I cancel or amend my trip?

Absolutely, but timing is everything! You can cancel or make changes to your trip up to 60 days before your departure. Keep in mind that any differences in trip costs will apply. For cancellations made less than 60 days before departure, our cancellation policy kicks in.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer cash refunds. However, if you cancel at least 60 days before departure, you can transfer your balance toward a new adventure or destination. Private experiences may incur additional fees if accommodations or activities are non-refundable from our partners.

If you cancel a trip at least 60 days before the start date, your balance will be held as credit. This credit is valid for one year from the cancellation date, giving you plenty of time to plan your next getaway!

1. When is my payment due?

We like to keep it smooth and stress-free!
We can set up, up to 15 installments, flexible on date to suit your schedule! Full payment is required a month before trip starts.

The installments toward your trip are flexible! You can pay all at once when the full payment is required!

Think of your deposit as a ticket to paradise – it’s non-refundable but totally worth it! Plus, life happens, and if you need to cancel, you can hold your payment as credit or transfer it to a future adventure.

You’ve got a whole year to use your payment credit! That’s 365 days to dream, plan, and book your next adventure with us.

We get it – plans can change. Here’s how cancellations work:

  • more than 60 days before departure: we offer full credit of your money to be used within a year from the date of canceling, towards any new trip you wish to plan with us!
  • 30–60 days before departure: 50% of your payment (excluding the deposit) becomes credit for a future trip. The other 50% will cover the planning we’ve done for your epic experience.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: Unfortunately, the full amount will be charged.

But don’t worry – we’ll still be here to plan your next adventure when you’re ready!
